Generative AI is excellent at adding interactive to static content and converting content among different modes (e.g., text to summary and questions, text to images and video, text to code, etc). There are initial signs of being about to create complete courses with learning objectives, rubrics, content, learning activities, and assessments.

Let’s look down the road. Let’s assume that we are heading toward a world with more AI-generated courses. We will need better tools to manage our own personal knowledge, practice skills to maintain proficiency and easily collaborate with peers and tutors. I’m hoping for a more powerful tool with a broader scope and built-in AI. Maybe a combination of I use Obsidian, Jupyter Notebook, Glasp, Google Notebook, and maybe a task manager like Taskade. And, I wonder how personal tools will work together to create a fabric of institutional knowledge.
